At PrintRepublic we know just how important is it that print is delivered intact and on time. That’s why we dispatch all orders using the relevant courier depending on the product ordered and its weight/value to ensure you get your goods on time.
All prices quoted include delivery.
What if something goes wrong?
PrintRepublic does everything possible to reduce the arrival of damaged goods, but damages do occur sometimes. In the first instance you must contact us by email hello@PrintRepublic.co.uk detailing the damage. Please take a digital picture of the damage for our insurance and for any claims against the courier. Please do not dispose the item as we may require its return (if return is required we will arrange return shipping.). Once we have been notified (and have received the images of the damage) we will replace the damaged goods as soon as possible
If we cannot meet a delivery schedule for unforeseen circumstances we will notify you on the email address the order was placed from.
What are PrintRepublic Business Cards?
PrintRepublic Business Cards are high quality, double sided Business Cards. They’re printed on 350gsm Silk stock & Matt or Gloss laminated both sides.
How big are PrintRepublic Business Cards?
They are the standard business card size used in the UK & USA. The precise measurements are 85 x 55mm.
Are PrintRepublic Business Cards double sided?
Yes, PrintRepublic Business Cards are printed in full colour on both sides. (There’s no extra cost, it’s just what we do).
Do PrintRepublic Business Cards have PrintRepublic branding on them?
No! Business Cards are not printed with the PrintRepublic logo – we know you’d like to order cards to promote your business, not ours!
What are PrintRepublic Postcards & Flyers?
PrintRepublic Postcards are standard size postcards, printed on high quality card with your photos or designs on one side, and your text or design on the other, or you can upload your own design.
How big are PrintRepublic Postcards?
They are A6 which is a typical postcard size, the exact dimensions are 148mm x 105mm.
How big are PrintRepublic Flyers?
They are A6, A5, A4 or DL – the exact dimensions are:
A6 – 148mm x 105mm
A5 – 148mm x 210mm
A4 – 297mm x 210mm
DL – 210mm x 99mm
What are PrintRepublic Postcards made of ?
A good quality sustainably sourced card (350gsm).
Can I have a Matt or Gloss laminate finish on my PrintRepublic Postcards and Flyers?
Yes you have the option of both but would be extra to quote.
Can I choose what goes on the reverse side of my PrintRepublic Postcards and Flyers?
You choose from a number of templates, including a standard postcard template and an option to add your own footnote and a logo. You can also upload your own full custom artwork.
Can I upload my own design for both sides of PrintRepublic Postcards and Flyers?
Yes. Postcards and Flyers can use your own design on both sides if you choose to. It’s best to upload a high-res JPG, PDF.
Why do I need a logo?
A logo is an eye-catching way to make sure people remember your business. A strong and memorable logo helps you stand out from competitors, both to current customers and potential clients. A good logo will tell the world that you are credible, trustworthy, and professional.
How will I be able to use my logo?
The beauty of owning your own logo is that you can use it however you want to promote your business. Business Cards, stationery, email signatures, accessories etc – you can brand anything and everything. You can use your logo in marketing (on adverts, signs, banners), or on promotional giveaways like pens, mouse mats, mugs or anything else that your may wish to do. We will supply the logo to you in a format that will be usable in any size without effecting the quality.
What if I’m not satisfied with my logo?
Well, that’s always possible – but we are confident that the process we adopt that our designers’ talent and expertise, will come up with the a design that you like. If you don’t like your design then we work with you to achieve your desired result.
Who can I talk to with additional questions?
For any logo design project questions, you will be giving the designer contact details who are handling your project so you can liaise directly.
- Make sure you’ve accounted for the ‘bleed’ in your design, filling this area with any background colours or images. Ensure all important parts of your design are kept within the safe area.
- Where possible designs featuring graphics or text should be submitted as vector based PDFs. To keep your text in vector format, we recommend applications like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and more recent versions of Adobe Photoshop. Please note, saving text in JPEG format could result in ‘fuzzy’ edges.
- When your design features a mix of photography and text, make sure your placed photographs are 300 dpi, and where possible that your final design is saved as a PDF.
- Make sure you pre-flight your PDFs using the ‘Adobe PDF/X-1a’ preset. This option can be found in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign and more recent versions of Adobe Photoshop.
What options are available for graphic design?
There are two options for designing and ordering a product. Click a product and choose one of the options.
1. Upload your own artwork – this is for finished, print ready artwork. Using this option, you can upload your own JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, EPS, AI, PDF and PSD images.
2. Fill out the design brief form with your order and we will design your item for you.
What is paper stock and card stock?
The type of paper used for difference purposes is expressed in weight. In the countries following the European system, it is grammes per square metre (gsm or g/m2)
The paper used for letterhead printing and such compliment slips is 100gsm bond. The paper used for business cards, flyers, postcards, greeting cards etc is 280gsm Silk
Explain the difference between glossy and matt paper stock.
Coated papers are available in three finishes – gloss (shiny and smooth), matt (flat and lusterless) & silk. Coated glossy papers reflect the light evenly so they are suitable for almost all types of printing jobs. Glossy papers have a good ink holdout, which is important for creating sharp, bright images. Matt papers give colours a very flat look with no shine.
There is also coated paper with a silk finish which is balance between gloss and matt coated.
What colour formats are supported by your site?
Our system supports RGB (red, green, blue) for producing digital prints. We have accurately mapped colour pallet to match RGB to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key) to ensure proper 4-colour printing.
All our printed products are of the highest quality though don’t forget if you use low resolution images, even the best printing machine will not be able to make it look good!
What is the resolution of output file?
300 dpi (dots per inch) is the resolution of the output PDF file.
What printing method do you use?
We use both offset lithographic printing as well as digital printing dependent on the product and quantity ordered. Both processes provide the highest quality of print material for both text and images across our whole range of products.
Are the prices listed on the site final? How do I know the total cost?
The prices indicated are fully inclusive of a standard delivery for all products against each of the quantities.
There will be NO additional costs unless you choose a faster turnaround time & where VAT is applicable.
Can I use my own artwork for Business Cards?
Yes you can as long as you order online and you do not want any specific special materials, colours or finishes. Our business cards are full colour, double sided business cards printed on 350gsm card and matt laminated both sides. All of our business cards are 55x85mm.
Can I order offline?
Orders can be placed off line by calling the office on 0845 862 5550 however there will be a 15% charge to the online price for this service.
Its 2.00pm and I need some business cards for a meeting tomorrow?
Our express service is despatched in 2 working days. If you order before 12 midday we will endeavour to despatch in 24 hours. If you really need something done urgently, why not call the office on 0845 862 5550 and we will see if we can find a way to help you.
What do I do if the size I require is not shown?
Please either call the office or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements and we will get back to you with a specific quote for your requirement.
Is my Leaflet or Flyer subject to VAT?
VAT is chargeable if the flyer is used as admission, discount on admission or product/service. An example of this is “Free (Or discounted) Admission with This Flyer”. VAT is chargeable if the flyer is designed to be written on for example a form is incorporated into the design. VAT is chargeable if the flyer is to be used as a Postcard.
